The BRAD Tent is your space for creativity, connection, and hands-on fun! Open to all ages, this interactive arts hub offers workshops, demos, and activities throughout the weekend.
Daily Yoga
Friday: 9 AM – 10 AM & 4 PM – 5 PM
Saturday: 9 AM – 10 AM & 4 PM – 5 PM
Beginner-friendly yoga sessions! Some mats provided—personal mats always welcome.
Friday
Weaving with Janeise
Time: 11 AM – 1 PM
Create a small wall hanging using colorful yarns, fabric scraps, and more! Learn basic weaving techniques with Janeise Harmon, Fiber Arts Program Coordinator at Stokes County Arts Council.
Crafternoon – Hat Bar
Time: 2 PM – 4 PM
Pick your favorite funky hat and add personal flair with feathers, ribbons, and doodads! Make it your ultimate festival accessory.
Saturday
Visit with a Virginia Master Naturalist
Time: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Learn about common herbs and their everyday uses with Norma, a Virginia Master Naturalist.
Build a Barrel Workshop
Time: 12 PM – 1 PM
Join Jada Hylton, Girl Scout Troop 1302, for a hands-on water conservation project!
Bonus: First 10 attendees receive a free spigot kit (while supplies last).
Fun coloring sheets for kids included!
Living with Black Bears
Time: 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Learn how to coexist with Virginia’s black bears—understand their behavior, prevent attractants, and respond to encounters.
Sunday
Barn Quilt Painting
Time: Begins at 3 PM
Help paint the unofficial barn quilt of Front Porch Fest! Supplies are limited—first come, first paint.
Sammie the Comic Book Man will be around in the afternoon sharing stories and cool facts about your favorite comic book heroes!
